Textured Leather

                          Skirt from H and M find here H and M £19.99 / Jacket previous season H and M /
Boots from Hush Puppies a few years ago see the range here / Belt from Camden
Market / Earring handmade by me at Secret Garden Party
I chose this skirt because I really like the textures and patterns on it- I haven't seen leather that has been textured like this before except on really high end pieces. I wanted to team it with this jacket which also has interesting patterns and a slightly Aztec/Indian vibe for a sort of traveller/exotic feel.

My Words -part three

Rockclimbing in Cornwall
Light caught the edge of a wing,
buffeted past,
soared and sailed away by the wind,
bubbles of foam caught up and resting on the edges of aircurrents
whirling past my head like sunlit snow,
solid muddy rock secure beneath my fingertips,
vast drops of wild empty cliff on either side,
the misting rain cuddles me in deeper to myself,
damp heather and gorse and coconut scents wrapping around my face, burying themselves in the deepest parts of my memory.

Product Battles- Dry Shampoo

Batiste vs Herbal Essences -the final verdict..............

All of these bottles are now empty and so I feel I can safely give you my thoughts on this comparison having used both in a variety of different environments and with different hairstyles.
I probably use my dry shampoo just as much to add volume and texture to my hair as to keep it looking freshly washed and both are equally as important to me in the product. I have been a long time Batiste user and have always loved the product as it really does clean up the hair and adds amazing volume especially as I have very fine, flat hair. However, the one thing that bugs me a bit about Batiste is that it leaves a white powdery residue that you have to be careful you have brushed out otherwise you get people coming up to you all day cracking jokes about how you've turned white overnight (haha what funny work colleagues I have).
The Herbal Essences dry shampoo does NOT leave any white residue in the hair. And it  smells really rather lovely. However, it also did pretty much nothing for my hair in terms of adding volume or texture and although it did leave my hair looking cleaner it definitely wasn't as good as the Batiste dry shampoo at this either. Therefore, I will definitely be buying Batiste again in the future (and just making sure I am more careful at brushing out the residue). :)

Elegant Touch press on nails

Bag from Accessorise (discontinued) / Boots from Tesco / Skirt from the basics range at H and M / Bowtie from E-Bay / Denim shirt from charity shop / Press on nails from Elegant Touch check out the range here

It literally took me five seconds to put these Elegant Touch nails on and they lasted for a good week! They are about eight pounds a pack (20 in a pack) which is definitely cheaper than a manicure and there are some really beautiful patterns and pictures to be had.

These are my top looks from the DSQUARED ready to wear SS2015 collection. I think this is one of my favourite collections of all the spring/summer catwalks this year. I love everything about it- the colours, the patterns, the textures and definitely those strappy geometric shoes.
I found a similar(ish) jacket on this awesome vintage website called Nifty Thrifty which I will show you later on in an OOTD!
I would also love to find some kind of high street affordable version of these shoes- does anyone have any ideas?

Emotions part three

Streak of silver, flash of beauty, glimpse of viciousness and he's gone.
Dull mess of green, dark grey of gloom, close sounds of people and his absence is felt

Gold glittery boots

Light jumper with leather sleeves find it here £12.99 at HandM / layered under cashmere jumper find similar on sale here / jean leggings find them here £19.99 at HandM
I recently went up to Aberdeen to visit my brother and saw these gold glittery boots in the sale in New Look. Against the advice of EVERYBODY I bought them and I love them! They are cut nicely to the ankle and have quite a delicate heel which balances out all the glitter a little. They also make me feel goooood.

Product Review: - Gosh Giant Blushes

I think these GOSH giant blush sticks are one of my favourite purchases recently. I bought them from Superdrug and the cost around £5 each. They currently do these blush sticks in four different colours and I bought No. 2 'Shy' which is the nude colour and No.4 'Passion' which is the pinker colour. They are both really beautiful colours- Shy is perfect for an everyday look (I have been wearing it to work) and Passion is gorgeous for a more glammed up evening look. I've also mixed them to create an inbetween colour so you can get different colours out of them! They are really easy to apply- I just put a smudge on the bottom of the apples of my cheeks and blend upwards a little with my fingers. As you can see from the last picture they can also double up as a lip colour if you have forgotten your lipstick.
If you would like to see a little more of them I have also reviewed them in my first ever attempt at a YouTube video which I will link below. (The video is not perfect and halfway through the audio and visual go out of sync !? but I am going to keep trying :) )
